Akron, Ohio – Performance Health introduces new, improved Biofreeze® Pain Reliever. For over 20 years, Biofreeze Pain Reliever has been helping people reduce their pain and manage discomfort. This market leading topical analgesic provides relief for millions of individuals suffering from sore or strained muscles, shoulder and arm discomfort, neck, hip and leg pain, back pain, painful joints, ankle and foot pain, and pain associated with bruising or arthritis.
Best. Biofreeze. Ever.
“We took the #1 clinically used and recommended topical analgesic and improved it based on customer feedback. The result is a formula that is preferred by 4 out of 5 topical analgesic users. We made it better in three key ways,” stated Doug Stuckey, Senior Product Manager, Performance Health. “First, we made the new formula more natural by adding an enhanced botanical blend and removing the paraben and propylene glycol. Next, we added two new effective skin conditioners so it applies easier and penetrates quickly. And finally, we created a colorless option for patients and practitioners who prefer dye-free products.”
New, improved Biofreeze is 100% paraben-free and propylene glycol-free, and is available More >

Dec 16th
Akron, Ohio – Performance Health announced the availability of Thera-Band® Latex-Free Professional Resistance Bands in 50 yard rolls. Re-formulated to match the performance and resistance of the market-leading Thera-Band Latex Professional Resistance Bands, this new and improved latex-free product provides the perfect solution for latex-free facilities that do not want to compromise on quality. Today, patients and practitioners can rely on one system of trusted progression and resistance from Thera-Band—market-leading latex bands, new and improved latex-free bands, or both—to best meet their in-clinic and at-home needs.
The availability of latex-free therapy products has become more important as the reporting of allergic reactions to latex has increased in the past six years. The increased numbers of latex-allergic individuals have prompted the establishment of guidelines for patient care and the healthcare provider. Frequent users of latex products may develop allergies to latex proteins, with resulting allergic reactions varying from mild to life-threatening.[1] According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, 8% to 12% percent of health-care workers, regularly exposed to latex, are sensitized.[2]
Thera-Band Latex-Free Professional Resistance Bands are provided in established Thera-Band colors and resistances including Yellow (thin), Red (medium), Green (heavy), Blue (extra heavy) and Black (special heavy), making them easy to More >

Download the featured article here, which features the Thera-Band® Band Loop.
Brenda McColgen wanted a routine that improved her muscle tone, particularly in her legs. Of the three workouts, she said she chose the band loop routine because, “I loved that I could do the moves anywhere— watching TV, checking e-mail—and that the bands traveled easily!”
