I couldn&#039;t agree more. It seems that as our country gets more and more unhealthy, people are relying on the doctors to get them better again. They want more medicines or more doctors when what they really need is more ownership of their problem. They need to realize that when they take ownership of their condition(s), it will not only make that condition better, but their overall quality of life.

On the other side, too many times, we as PTs or DCs spend too much time and focus way too much on getting that condition better when we should be focusing on making the patient more healthy. Doing simple things like looking at the patient as a whole go a long way to not only improving their outcome, but also quality of life.</description>
